• Edison pearls have a nacre thickness similar to South Sea pearls which is responsible for the beautiful pearl essence and appearance and include some violet, magenta, bright flashes of blue shimmer over every bit of surface area, giving off an intense metallic luster and a smooth surface.  Edison pearls come in a greater variety of colors, including purple, pink, bronze, peach, gold, champagne, and of course, white. Because they are freshwater pearls, Edison pearls are much more affordable than Tahitian and South Sea pearls.

Fascinated with the idea of suspending stones the way musical notes are suspended on a staff, Margo Morrison launched her jewelry collection, known as MARGO MORRISON NEW YORK, in 2001.
 
Margo describes her jewelry, which is handmade in her Manhattan studio, as "visual music.” Her signature looks play off positive and negative space, while combining complementary colors, textures, and shapes. The feminine designs--with just the right dash of edginess--incorporate faceted semi-precious stones and lustrous freshwater pearls. Margo knots her stones on nude nylon cord, giving the illusion of floating stones.
